Dear Helen,

I tried to find the Hussey Family that you mentioned in your search for George Butler. I have a possibility that would put the Butler Family and a Hussey Family in Kensington at the same time.

1881 British Census
Dwelling: 13 Munden Place
Census Place: Fulham, London, Middlesex, England.
Source: FHL Film 1341014 PRO Ref RG11 Piece 0065 Folio 31 Page 13

David Hussey Head of Family, Occupation Labourer, Married, Age 29, Sex Male, Birthplace Kensington, Middlesex, England.

Mary Hussey, Wife, Occupation Laundress, Married, Age 29, Sex Female, Birthplace Kensington, Middlesex, England.

James Hussey, Son, Occupation Scholar, Unmarried, Age 8, Sex Male, Birthplace Kensington, Middlesex, England.

Thomas Hussey, Son, Occupation Scholar, Unmarried, Age 6, Sex Male, Birthplace Kensington, Middlesex, England.

Charles Hussey, Son, Occupation Scholar, Unmarried, Age 4, Sex Male, Birthplace Kensington, Middlesex, England.

Sarah Hussey, Daughter, Unmarried, Age 1 month, Sex Female, Birthplace Kensington, Middlesex, England.

If this is the correct Hussey Family it would mean that Jane Butler was 5 years older than James Hussey. Perhaps a search in the 1901 census might be useful, to cross check this information, especially as it is now on the web.

Again kind regards, John Harry Butler
